1890 - First baseball game off-campus; nine students play at Uniontown Decoration Day.

June 1890 - Trustees approve the construction of Science Hall.

1891 - Normal Stars baseball team is formed; plays against Washington and Jefferson College, Western University of Pennsylvania, Monongahela College, and others.

1892 - Students form the Normal Athletic Association.

May 1892 - Science Hall completed.

1893 - Vulcan Hall construction begins; Football and Baseball teams are organized and equipped.

1894 - Vulcan Hall gymnasium completed.

1898 - First athletic coach hired.
