1901 - Baseball schedule expands; includes WVU, Grove City College, Westminster College, Pittsburgh College, Indiana Normal, Shadyside Academy, East Liberty Academy, and Pittsburgh High School.
Fall 1902 - First school nurse, Blanche Corter from West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
1905 - College forms regulations for participating in athletics; football team is undefeated.
Dec. 1905 - New dormitory building proposed.
May 2, 1906 - J.C. Fulton of Uniontown named architect for new building.
June 6, 1906 - Fulton presents plans for building; Board of Trustees unanimously votes to name the new building Dixon Hall.
July 1906 - Contract is given to lowest bidder, Caldwell and Drake of Columbus, Indiana.
Sept. 2, 1907 - Dixon Hall complete.
Sept. 19, 1907 - Commission appointed by the state House of Representatives and Senate to propose a new school code.
Feb. 28, 1909 - Dr. Noss dies suddenly in Chicago; his body is returned to the SWSNC. His funeral is attended by many important figures in education. Dr. John D. Meese, the vice-principal, is named acting principal to finish the term.
July 1, 1909 - Dr. Herbert B. Davis is named principal of SWSNC.
