Act 48 Continuing Education Credits

Act 48 requires Pennsylvania educators to complete ongoing professional education credits. All Pennsylvania educators holding public school certification including: intern, instructional I and II, educational specialist I and II, administrative, supervisory, letter of eligibility and all vocational certificates, must participate.

California University of Pennsylvania is an approved provider of Act 48 credits/hours. We only submit information to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) for courses/workshops completed here. If you've taken courses at other universities that you would like to count toward Act 48, contact that institution. Once we enter the necessary information into the PDE database, a letter of confirmation will be sent to you. If your school district requires a copy of the confirmation letter, it's your responsibility to provide it to the district.
