Executive-Level Training Programs

Great organizations are created by great leaders.  People who can build trust, harness capabilities and achieve results.  Through the Character Education Institute at California University of Pennsylvania, we can help your employees become more effective, both personally and professionally.  Cal U's certified trainers will teach your employees timeless principles that are based on Stephen R. Covey's best-selling book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, so they can return to the workplace feeling empowered and ready to lead.

Your executive training session tuition is used to create an endowed scholarship at California University of Pennsylvania in your company's name.  Scholarship recipients are then selected according to the parameters that your company establishes.  Through the "7 Habits" training, organizations develop more effective ways of working and communicating.  Scholarships provide educational opportunities to Cal U students who may not otherwise be able to afford a college education.  A win-win for everyone.

The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity

Two-Day Workshop

The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity teaches you how to achieve extraordinary results.  This solution will empower you to achieve outcomes that have previously been outside your reach.   It will enable you to make day-to-day decisions that are focused on your most important outcomes instead of focusing on the gravel that gets thrown at you constantly. You will learn to eliminate the activities that distract you from achieving your most important goals. The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity will guide you to a new paradigm of your roles, effective weekly and daily planning, technology mastery, and energy renewal for truly extraordinary achievements.

FranklinCovey's The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity teaches the following choices:

Choice 1:  Act on the Important - don't react to the urgent.  In today’s world there are so many options about how to spend one’s time and energy. Course participants learn to approach each day with an "importance mindset" and to identify and eliminate those activities that distract them from achieving their organizations most important goals.

Choice 2:  Go for the Extraordinary - don't settle for ordinary.  Clearly defining the highest aspirations and desired outcomes in one’s professional and personal roles provides direction and motivation for achieving extraordinary results. Class participants define extraordinary outcomes for their roles which help them focus their efforts to measure day-to-day decisions.

Choice 3:  Schedule the Big Rocks - don't sort gravel.  Consistently planning activities around identified "most important outcomes" creates a pattern of focus and success. Class participants learn the process for creating weekly and daily plans that will produce extraordinary outcomes.

Choice 4:  Rule Your Technology - don't let it rule you.  Building reliable email, task, calendaring, contracts and notes processes that support achieving important outcomes is essential to the ability to focus. Class participants learn rules to maximize the use of platforms such as Microsoft Outlook in building a reliable personal information system.

Choice 5:  Fuel Your Fire - don't burn out.  Constantly and consistently renewing oneself ensures there will be plenty of energy throughout the day to focus on important activities. Class participants create a plan that will ignite their body’s mental, physical, emotional and spiritual energy.
