Department of Applied Engineering and Technology

The Department of Applied Engineering and Technology (AET) offers you a diverse selection of five bachelor's degrees, six associate degrees and a master's degree in technology education. These career-focused programs integrate the application of technology with a broad general education to prepare you to excel in applied engineering and technology-related fields in industry or education.

Our remarkable faculty will educate you in the fundamentals of science, mathematics and technology so that you may apply your knowledge and skills to technical and management situations. You'll also become aware of the impact of technology on the global community and the quality of life both for the individual and for society.

Unlike traditional engineering programs that tend to be theoretical and minds-on only, our programs offer a combination of hands-on and minds-on. We have instituted a learning culture that will engage and challenge you through a rigorous curriculum, real-world exposure and an interactive classroom environment. A testament to this culture is the fact that many of our graduates today hold leadership positions at organizations and academic institutions around the world.

Our student retention rate is comparably higher than other programs because our placement statistics are very high. We take extreme pride in knowing that students who graduate from one of our degree programs have a career waiting for them.
