

Master’s Degree
The Department of Special Education offers students interested in pursuing advanced study in special education a master's degree in mentally/physically handicapped education . This degree consists of four tracks:
- Track A: Track A is for those who already hold an instructional/teaching certificate in any area but not Pennsylvania certification in special education.
- Track B: Track B is designed for those students who already hold certification in special education and are seeking a master's degree in special education with a specialization in autism spectrum disorders.
- Track C: Track C is designed for students who have no teaching certificate but who are now working with, or have worked with, children or adults with a physical disability in either a community or an institutional setting.
- Track D: Track D is designed for students with no teaching certificate who would like to earn dual certification in elementary and special education.
