Department of History and Political Science
The Department of History and Political Science is responsible for programs at the undergraduate level. History and political science are closely related disciplines that use the past to understand the present and the future.
The department's mission is to encourage literate, critical thinking by students who work with faculty engaged in diverse, broadly-based scholarships. History and Political Science faculty members strive to mentor and develop students as they build character and careers.
If you want to join an Honors Society, the deadline for this semester is March 8th! Details on them are to the right.
Looking Ahead: The Departmental Advisement Guide is now out. Check it out in the right column!

Looking Ahead is more than an Advising Newsletter, it's also a key for learning about the department, what we offer, and how to be a success during your time at Cal U. If you are considering coming here, or if you're in the middle of your career and need ideas, it's meant to help.
But, of course, it's also essential for registration...
