Jay Weller is a magisterial district judge in Washington County, Pa., and has served in that capacity for more than 20 years. Prior to that he was a municipal police officer for 15 years. He is a graduate of Shippensburg University and the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Mr. Weller is a past-president of the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania and former member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Juris Education Committee. While as a police officer he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and was an instructor for numerous police agencies in Pennsylvania. Mr. Weller has periodically been a part-time faculty member with California University of Pennsylvania since 2001.
