Jon Ridge is the assistant chief probation and parole officer for Washington County, Pa. He was promoted to the position in 2007. Jon has been employed with the department since 1993, holding positions that include field supervision officer, internship coordinator, training coordinator, treatment court manager, supervisor, and grant writing manager. He is a certified defensive tactics instructor, TASER instructor, ground avoidance ground escape (GAGE) instructor, oleoresin capsicum instructor, GLOCK armorer, and is certified through the Pennsylvania Firearms Training Commission (FETC).
Jon received his B.A. in criminal justice from Edinboro University in 1992. In 2004 he received his M.A. from the University of Phoenix, Pittsburgh Campus in management and business. He has been an adjunct instructor through Waynesburg University since 2004 instructing courses in Probation and Parole, Corrections, and Use of Force.
Jon is married to Leslie Ridge, who is a prosecuting attorney for Washington County, Pa., and has one daughter, Hannah Ridge. He lives with his family in Washington, Pa.
