Dr. Kathryn Shaw Sacco

Dr. Kathryn Shaw Sacco is well known in the Ohio Valley area as an organist, choral director, teacher, and accompanist.
She graduated from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music with a B.M. in organ, from West Virginia University with an M.M. in organ, and received her DMA in organ from Honolulu University. She has performed extensively in the West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania area as a recitalist and accompanist. She is very active musically in the Wheeling/Pittsburgh area in particular, including working with numerous musical theater productions as accompanist, music director, and orchestra conductor.
She is presently the Principal Organist/Associate Director of Music at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, Pa., where she provides music for five masses per weekend, and accompanies the adult choir, professional soloists, and cantors.
She is a member of the music faculty at Cal U, teaching music theory, keyboard, and private piano.
From 1977 until September 1995 she served as Director of Music/Organist at St. Mark Lutheran church in Wheeling where she also conducted the Handbell choir. She was the Director of Music for Wheeling Jesuit University from 1993-2002 where her duties included the Wheeling Jesuit University Singers and teaching. She is a member of Phi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honorary), the American Guild of Organists, the American Federation of Musicians, and is listed in "Who's Who Among American Keyboard Artists."
Kathy and her husband, Harry, also an active Wheeling musician, reside in Wheeling.
