Biography
Dr. Linda Platt Meyer, a full professor at California University of Pennsylvania, teaches a variety of courses in the online master's program in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She is a BOC-Certified Athletic Trainer (more than 25 years) and has her Performance Enhancement Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-PES). Further, she holds a permanent teaching certification (K-12) in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Prior to her employment at Cal U, she spent 14 years at Duquesne University as a founding faculty member in the undergraduate athletic training program. And prior to her Duquesne tenure, she spent nine years as a public school teacher and certified athletic trainer in the Shade-Central City, Bellefont, and Somerset school districts, all in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

- Continues to serve as a medical consultant to Special Olympics and coordinates the medical coverage for Pennsylvania's State Winter Games
