In addition to being an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Secondary Education and Administrative Leadership, Dr. Gross is the coordinator of curriculum and instruction in the Indiana (Pa.) Area School District. Previously, he was the senior high school principal in the Somerset, Berlin-Brothersvalley, and Shade-Central City school districts. He also served as a supervisor of special education for Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 and as a special education teacher in the Lancaster and York school districts. 

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and two children, Alex and Alison. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and at various athletic events.
