Dr. Michael Meyer

Dr. Meyer has been a faulty member at Cal U since 2007. He has been an athletic trainer since 1997. Prior to joining the faculty at Cal U, he was an athletic trainer at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) with the Men’s Basketball team. He completed his undergraduate degree in sports medicine in 1997 from Waynesburg College (Waynesburg, PA), his graduate degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University in 2001 (Athens, OH), and his PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Dr. Meyer teaches in both the undergraduate athletic training program and graduate athletic training program at Cal U. His research interests include cardiac emergencies in athletics; leadership theory in the public and non-profit sectors; and the use of technology in athletic training education and clinical practice.
