Biography

Dr. Todd E. Keruskin is the assistant superintendent of the Elizabeth Forward School District. Previously, he was the principal and assistant principal of Baldwin High School, as well as the assistant principal, dean of students and a physics teacher at McKeesport Area High School. Since 2005, he has also been and adjunct professor at California University of Pennsylvania. 

Keruskin grew up in nearby Frederickstown, Washington County, where he attended the Bethlehem-Center School District. As an undergraduate at Cal U, he studied physics before continuing at the University to earn his master's degree in education as well as his principal's letter. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh for a doctorate in education and a superintendent's letter of eligibility.

As assistant superintendent, Keruskin's goals are to create safe and exciting learning environments, to enhance teaching practices and lessons with creativity and increased relevance, and to adjust the curriculum to align with new common core standards. To those ends, the most rewarding element of his current position is working with teachers and students to enhance lessons and ultimately improve teaching and learning.
