William Gesin is the choral accompanist and teaches private piano at Cal U.

He is also the assistant organist at Calvary Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh, where he accompanies the adult choir, the choristers, and soloists. Calvary's choir performs a wide variety of sacred music both as part of the parish's weekly Sunday morning worship and in Evensong and concert settings. Members perform several large works each year, including works such as Handel's Messiah, Faure's Requiem, Durufle's Requiem, and Bach's St. John Passion accompanied by Chatham Baroque, Pittsburgh's renowned baroque ensemble and Calvary's Ensemble-in-Residence.

Gesin was previously the director of music and organist at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wilkinsburg.

He has also taught middle school and high school choir in the Freeport Area School District and in the Mt. Lebanon School District.  His choirs performed a wide variety of sacred and secular music and consistently earned Superior ratings at adjudication festivals.  The choirs grew substantially under his direction, sometimes doubling and tripling in size.

Mr. Gesin is also an adjunct music instructor at Community College of Allegheny County and is a freelance accompanist for performances ranging from school and university concerts to musical theater auditions, classes, and productions.

He has accompanied for festivals conducted by well-known conductors, composers, and arrangers such as Moses Hogan, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, and Dr. Lon Beery. While at IUP he was the winner of the annual concerto competition and was a featured soloist with the IUP Orchestra in a performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue

At IUP he was a member of the inaugural class of the Robert E. Cook Honors College, and while at Duquesne University he was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, a National Music Honor Society.
