MSW Admission Packet
To apply for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program, you can request our MSW admission packet by either calling the MSW program office at 724-938-4022, e-mailing the MSW program director, or downloading the information here:
Formal Application Requirements
Upon receiving the MSW packet, return the enclosed material before the designated deadline in order to start your admission process into the MSW program.
Admissions Criteria
Regular Program:
- Minimum undergraduate 3.00 GPA (last two years of college work)
- MSW Application
- Complete the Graduate School Application on line
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, even if a degree was not earned from a particular institution (except Cal U transcripts)
- Submit your $25.00 Application Fee
- Current Resume
- Portfolio Statement
- 3 Letters of Reference
- Completion of 30 credits of upper level liberal arts work
Advanced Standing Program:
- Minimum undergraduate 3.00 GPA (last two years of college work)
- MSW Application
- Complete the Graduate School Application on line
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, even if a degree was not earned from a particular institution (except Cal U transcripts)
- Submit your $25.00 Application Fee
- Current Resume
- Portfolio Statement
- 3 Letters of Reference
- A social work degree from an accredited BSW program within six years of application to the MSW program
- Minimum 3.25 GPA in social work major
Application deadline:
Complete applications for this program need to be submitted by June 14th.
This program is fall start only.
