Special Education Certificate

Classes begin Fall, Spring and Summer

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of special education teachers is expected to increase by 15% through 2016, faster than average for all occupations. Job prospects should be excellent, as many districts report problems finding adequate numbers of certified and highly qualified special education teachers. There is expected to be continued increases in the number of special education students needing services, which will generate a greater need for special education teachers.

We'll help you land that ideal special education position with our special education certificate, accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and nationally recognized by our professional organization, Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).

Our program has been designed for teachers who want to develop their skills to help those students with special education needs.
