IR: Mission Statement, Goals & Purpose
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research & Planning is to collect, analyze, disseminate, and present information to aid planning, decision-making, and policy formulation at the University.
In fulfilling its mission, the Office of Institutional Research & Planning must strive for continuous improvement in:
- Data accuracy
- Timely reporting
- Actionable information
The Office of Institutional Research & Planning strives to fulfill the following functions:
- Improve the decision-making data base through working with the University Technology Services department to ensure the quality of captured data.
- File regular and ad hoc reports to a broad spectrum of constituents requesting information, including government, accrediting agencies, colleges, and academic departments.
- Provide analytical support for the President and other senior officers with evidence-based information about student learning, faculty productivity, program effectiveness, and resource utilization at the University.
