California University is hosting two exciting camps for high school students this year:  Robotics Camp and Graphic Communication and Multimedia Camp.

California University Robotics Camp

The intent of the camp is to motivate the most talented and creative minds of a new generation, assisting them to become the future leaders in an increasingly high technology world.  Participants will receive hands-on experiences in the following areas: Computer Aided Design (CAD) & Protyping, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) & machining, electronics & circuits, microcontrollers, assembly and testing.

The Robotics Camp is being sponsored by the Office of Lifelong Learning and the National Center for Robotics Engineering Technology Education (NCRETE).

California University Graphic Communications and Multimedia Camp

Are you creative and unique in your thinking and approach? Do you consider yourself imaginative, innovative and original? Do you like to communicate ideas? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you must come to Cal U’s GCM camp. Each day finds you working on a new skill.

Discover how to use your digital camera more effectively and learn how to make the most of your camera features. Create a DVD by developing a storyboard, using edited video you shot along with stock video clips. Create original motion graphics through the manipulation of video, audio and still images in 2D and 3D space. Learn about screen printing and print your own t-shirt from selected designs. Explore how books are manufactured and then take it a step further by designing, creating and producing your own book. You will leave this class with a physical book along with a digital book.

From digital video and photography to motion graphics, screen printing and offset printing, this week has something for everyone.
