Principal, Supervisor, Vocational Administrative Director and Vocational Supervisor:
Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision test
Prior to April 2012, educators who hold an existing valid Pennsylvania Supervisor, Principal, or Letter of Eligibility certificate and are adding any of these three areas, Vocational Supervisor, or Vocational Administrative Director to their certificate will not be required to take any Praxis tests to add that area. Educators who are adding a Vocational Supervisor or Vocational Administrative Director certificate to an existing valid Pennsylvania Vocational Supervisor or Vocational Administrative Director certificate will not be required to take any Praxis tests to add that area. The appropriate education program and experience must be completed.
Starting in April 2012, a new test for a Superintendent Letter of Eligibility will be available. Effective September 1, 2012, candidates for Principal certification will be required to successfully complete the School Leadership Licensure Assessment (instead of the
Educational Leadership test-0411) and candidates for a Superintendent Letter of Eligibility will be required to successfully complete the School Superintendent Assessment (SSA).
