Accelerated option: Begin working toward your master’s degree while completing your bachelor’s. Once students in Cal U’s online B.A. in Arabic program have earned 60 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, they can begin taking graduate-level courses and applying 40% of the graduate credits toward their bachelor’s degree.

Admissions requirements

Candidates for admission to the M.A. in Social Science: Arabic Language and Linguistics program must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language, linguistics, Middle Eastern studies or equivalent, with a grade-point average of 2.8 or higher.
  • Official transcripts from an accredited undergraduate college or university.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English sufficient to meet the requirements of Cal U’s School of Graduate Studies and Research.

Information for International Global Online Applicants

Conditional admission may be offered to students with a GPA below 2.8. Students who are admitted conditionally will have two semesters to supply unofficial transcripts or resume in lieu of required documents, and/or to complete course instruction in American College English, if required.
