Admission requirements

Regular admission to the MBA: Healthcare Management program requires:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. (Students with a GPA below 3.00 may apply for conditional admission.)
  • Official transcripts from an accredited undergraduate institution.
  • Successful completion of foundation courses in Financial Accounting, Principles of Microeconomics or Elements of Economics, Business Statistics or Statistics, and College Algebra (if applicable based on SAT/ACT or placement testing scores).

Conditional admission may be granted with the following modifications of the regular requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a GPA under 3.00 will be reviewed for a decision.
  • Unofficial transcripts.
  • Deficiencies in foundation courses.

Students admitted conditionally based on missing document(s) or foundation courses must satisfy those requirements within two semesters. Applicants may remove deficiencies in the foundation courses at Cal U or another accredited institution before seeking regular admission or after conditional admission.
