Athletic Training: Curriculum
Our 120-credit program leading to the Bachelor of Science - Athletic Training degree is designed to be completed in four years (eight semesters). The combined PTA/Athletic Training program requires five years (10 semesters plus one summer semester).
Students majoring in Athletic Training who participate in intercollegiate athletics, hold part-time jobs or have other commitments that conflict with clinical education can expect to complete the Athlletic Training program in 5 years or less.
The Athletic Training dual major is available to anyone interested in most secondary education teacher certification programs. The Athletic Training requirements are the same as in the non-teacher certification programs. If interested, you will need to contact a second adviser in the College of Education and Human Services in your chosen area of teacher certification.
