Associate of Science in Computer Aided-Design/Drafting
Communicating engineering designs using available resources is the focus of our computer-aided design/drafting (CADD) program. This program centers around technical sketching and drafting; computer-aided drafting/design; and parametric modeling. These are considered to be the primary means of communicating technical ideas for business and industry. We emphasize CADD for developing and reinforcing drafting and computer skills using current software and hardware resources.
You will investigate ways to develop and share technical ideas, create detailed representations of product designs, and prepare production drawings and pictorial presentations, as well as write clear and concise technical reports. Those wishing to pursue an education beyond the associate degree may elect to enter the Bachelor of Science degree program in technology management or other engineering technology degree program with no loss of time or credit to expand your job options and career opportunities.
