

Gerontology: Curriculum
The B.S. in gerontology is a career-oriented course of study that can accommodate both full- and part-time students, students with or without professional experience, and incoming freshmen and transfer students. Interested in an in-depth study of aging? We also offer an 18-credit aging specialist certificate.
The Bachelor of Science degree requires 120 semester credits, including 42 credits of gerontology course work and 15 credits of field experience, for a total of 57 credits in gerontology.

The bachelor’s degree is a career-oriented course of study that can accommodate both full- and part-time students, students with or without professional experience, and incoming freshmen and transfer students. The degree requires 120 semester credits, including 42 credits of gerontology course work. Students perform 6 to 12 credits of internship work in an agency or facility serving older adults.
