Graphics and Multimedia: Clubs and Organizations

Students in the Graphics and Multimedia program can join two clubs: the Screen Printing Student Association and the Student Club of Printing House Craftsmen.

The Screen Printing Student Association allows students to enhance their technical skills and perform service to the university and local community by screen printing various textile and graphic products which include T-shirts, mugs, vinyl decals, and posters. The club members also participate in tours of commercial printing facilities usually in the greater Pittsburgh region. The SPSA is a great opportunity for students to practice and hone their screen printing skills while having fun.

The Student Craftsman Club was established to provide students with real world experiences related to the printing and publishing industry. Students design, prepare, and produce printed projects for university related organizations as well as organizations in the surrounding communities. Club members also attend national conferences related to printing and publishing where they gain valuable experiences and make contacts within the profession.

Students with outstanding academic achievement will also have the opportunity to join Epsilon Pi Tau, an honorary society for students in the field of technology. Learn more about EPT here.

Some industry organizations include the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
