Center for Law and Public Policy
The Institute for Law & Public Policy is now the
Center for Law & Public Policy!
This name change ushers in a new era of service to the local and regional communities. While the Center will still offer the same top notch continuing education, training programs, and publications that has been its hallmark for the last decade, new and innovative programs and an expanding publication base will see the CLPP into its second decade.
The Center for Law and Public Policy (CLPP) is a sponsor and provider of continuing education for a broad range of professionals. Continuing education programs and training courses have been offered to police, lawyers, correctional personnel, educators, regulatory professionals, CPAs, and judicial personnel. The CLPP is dedicated, above all, to promoting education, scholarship and public policy discourse in the Southwestern Pennsylvania Region.
The Center's primary mission is the dissemination of information, and the discussion of trends and innovations about the American legal and justice system. The Center strives to study and analyze legal and public policy issues impacting the local and regional communities.
The CLPP is located on Cal U's Main Campus in the Eberly Science & Technology Center. The CLPP is directed by Dr. Christina A. Toras, JD, MA. The Assistant Director is Hope Coddington Haywood. You can reach the Center by phone at 724-938-4763.
