

Cal U Fusion mobile apps
- Cal U Fusion helps you stay connected to California University with these apps customized for our campus community.
- Cal Fusion: Available free on Apple iOS and Android devices. Keeps you in touch with Cal U news, Vulcan sports and more. Designed specifically for the Cal U campus community, it provides:
- The popular “people finder” directory.
- A full calendar of campus activities and events.
- A searchable courses list with class schedules, classroom locations and professors’ e-mail.
- Up-to-the-minute Cal U news.
- Vulcan athletics information, including team schedules and scores.
- A real-time tracker for keeping tabs on the Vulcan Flyer shuttles.
- Emergency phone numbers and a link to the Cal U alert system.
- Interactive campus maps.
- YouTube videos and campus images.
- East access to Cal U’s mobile website, m.calu.edu.
The app was developed by Blackboard Mobile, a division of education technology company Blackboard Inc., with input from Cal U staff.
- CalUFusion: Available free on Apple iOS devices. View a campus map, check bus schedules, order food “to go” or call for help.
- Campus navigator: Find a building on campus or check the schedule for the Vulcan Flyer or campus shuttle.
- Food order: Order a breakfast or lunch combo from the Sycamore Bistro, pay with PayPal and your meal will be waiting for pickup.
- Emergency button: Reach campus police in a hurry using your GPS-enabled mobile device (iPhone).
The app was developed by Songwhale, with input from Cal U staff.
- WCAL: Available free on Apple iOS and Android devices. Listen live to WCAL Radio 91.9 FM, the campus radio station, or request a song. This app was designed by Cal U students in the Multimedia Access Center.

Cal U Fusion gives California University faculty members a set of customized classroom management and teaching/learning tools.
These apps will be available in beta format during the Spring 2012 semester. Faculty feedback will be considered before the apps are released in their final form:
- Apptendance: Record attendance with this app that lets you match photos of your students with those present in class.
- FlashyCard: Create interactive flash cards using text, images, sound or video.
