Dr. Susan (Sue) Rankin

Dr. Rankin has presented and published widely on the impact of sexism, racism and heterosexism in the academy. Her current research focuses on the assessment of institutional climate and providing program planners and policy makers with recommended strategies to improve the campus climate.
Dr. Rankin has collaborated with more than 100 institutions/organizations in implementing assessments and developing action plans.
She is the recipient of the ACPA 2008 Voice of Inclusion Medallion. The award recognizes individuals who embody the student affairs values of social justice.
Coordinator of Diversity Education, Affirmative Action Office, Penn State University
As coordinator of Diversity Education in Penn State’s Affirmative Action Office, Annie Holmes has provided workshops and facilitated diversity sessions across the Penn State community for four years. Prior to working with the Affirmative Action Office, she worked in Residence Life and the Office of Educational Equity at Penn State.
Ms. Holmes has been a research associate with Rankin and Associates for seven years.
She received her master’s degree in College Student Affairs from Penn State and her bachelor’s degree in education from Temple University. She is completing a second master's degree in higher education concurrently with a doctoral degree in adult education.
