Schools and Values will examine the values that are taught and modeled in classrooms from preschool through postsecondary levels. The course will consider how teachers and other staff unavoidably contribute to the moral development of the students they serve. Although the course is designed primarily for education majors, it will address issues that should concern other majors who have a vested interest as citizens and parents in how schools influence the moral development of students. (3 crs.)
