When preparing your résumé, it is important to remember that the purpose of a résumé is to get you an interview. In the 30 seconds your résumé will be reviewed by a potential employer, you must convince the reader that you possess the skills and qualifications that match the position for which he/she is hiring. When writing your resume, tailor your resume to focus on the skills, qualifications and accomplishments you have acquired that best match the specific job for which you are applying.
