Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars Intern Abroad Program
Plan early! All applicants must meet with the Cal U/TWC campus liaison, Tracie L. Beck (email@example.com) prior to completing the application to review the application process, including reviewing drafts of application materials. Students must also provide an official transcript from all colleges attended. Cal U procedures for registering for an internship, including enrolling in the internship intent and approvals from your adviser, department chair and dean, apply.

- Participants must show outstanding academic progress, maturity and motivation, and the capacity to pursue independent study;
- 2.75 grade point average (3.25 for the D.C.-Oxford Internship Program)
- At least a second-semester sophomore
Students are placed, according to their interests and career goals, with political offices, public interest groups, businesses, non-profit organizations, etc. Interns in the London program work 2½ days per week and take three courses. Students in the other programs offered will generally work 4-4½ days per week and participate in two courses.
Students remain enrolled at - and receive academic credit from - Cal U. Credit is awarded based on evaluations performed by the Washington Center staff, course instructors and internship supervisors abroad, and the student's faculty advisers.
Cal U's tuition and fees are waived; student housing and program costs for The Washington Center internship programs (including Intern Abroad) are billed to and paid by the student (payment is made directly to the Washington Center). Students who want to apply their financial aid should contact the Financial Aid office at 724-938-4415 or visit Dixon Hall, Room 105.
Current program and housing fees can be found on the Washington Center's website. Cal U students are eligible to apply for a Pennsylvania state-funded grant.
