Horses with Hope
What:
Volunteers are needed to assist with therapeutic horse riding for riders with special needs.
We utilize up to 3 volunteers per rider, a horse leader and 2 side walkers.
Training is provided, and you don't have to know about horses or special needs.
It is not a physically demanding task. You need to be fit enough to walk for 30 minutes, with periods of a light jog for about 10-15 paces.
We are in need of volunteers for the following days and hours starting mid March:
Tuesdays ~10:30am – 1:00p (Mar-Jun / Sep-Nov)
Wednesdays ~
• 11:00am-1:00pm (Mar-Jun / Sep-Nov)
• 3:30pm-5:00pm, 4:30pm-6:00pm, 5:30pm-7:00pm, 6:30pm-8pm (Mar-Nov)
Thursdays~ 12:30p – 2:30p (Mar-Nov)
Fridays~
• 11:00am-1:00pm (Mar-Jun / Sep-Nov)
• 3:30pm-5:00pm, 4:30pm-6:00pm, 5:30pm-7:00pm 6:30pm-8pm (Mar-Nov)
Saturdays~2:30pm-4:00pm, 3:30pm-5:00pm, 4:30pm-6:00pm, 5:30pm-7:00pm (Mar-Nov)
*Training is March 10th held at Paradise Hills farm from 12:00p-2:30p
