We Can Help You Build Your Leadership Skills
The Emerging Leaders program is designed to foster ethical leadership and increase capacity to deal with complex problems, real-life leadership situations and cross-cultural issues. The comprehensive program promotes an understanding of leadership theory and skills.
Emerging Leaders Program Provides Critical Skills
Emerging Leaders is a competitive program for up to 25 of Cal U's most promising freshmen and sophomores. The program equips potential student leaders with skills in:
- Public speaking
- Team building
- Goal setting
- Conflict resolution
Students must apply and be selected to participate. Participants will be introduced to several theories of leadership through speakers and workshop sessions. This program also uses experiential exercises to encourage students to put new skills into action. Workshops throughout the year focus on particular areas of leadership development.
