Cal U offers many ways for you to get the exercise you want and need. Whatever your interests, the Department of Recreational Services offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities and ways for you to get started.

- Cal U offers recreational facilities-including Herron Recreation and Fitness Center, and Roadman Park and programs to enhance the social, psychological and physiological development of the entire Cal U community.
Intramural Sports
Intramural sports offers structured contests, meets, tournaments and leagues. All are limited to members of the Cal U community. Intramural leagues and tournaments include:
- Flag football
- 5-on-5 basketball
- Deck hockey
- Softball
- Volleyball
- 3-on-3 basketball
- Racquetball
- Dodgeball
- Soccer
- Pickle ball
Extramural Sports
Champions from the University's intramural events have the opportunity to compete in tournaments and meets against different institutions.
Club Sports
Cal U's sports clubs serve students' athletic interests while providing competition with off-campus rivals. Each club is student initiated and sustained. Read more about Cal U's sports clubs including:

Fitness
Get motivated here! Cal U offers a full schedule of fitness classes and other opportunities for individuals to maintain healthy lifestyles. The Department of Recreational Services also offers special fitness events throughout the year including:
- Bike Across Pennsylvania
- HRFC Triathlon
- Climb Gauntlet Mountain
- Thanksgiving Turkey Trot
- Spring Break Run
Informal Recreation
All students have access to state-of-the-art cardio machines, free weight equipment, a climbing wall, racquetball courts, a track, group fitness/aerobics, basketball courts and a swimming pool at Herron Recreation and Fitness Center.
Cal U also offers a Healthy Habits program to promote health and wellness activities across the university community.
Herron Recreation and Fitness Center
Herron Recreation and Fitness Center has been recently renovated and expanded. Anyone with a valid University identification card can use the many facilities at Herron including:
- Two gymnasiums
- Pool
- Steam room
- Whirlpool
- Two racquetball courts
- Group fitness/aerobics studio
- Free weight area
- Selectorized machine area
- Cardiovascular area
- Climbing wall
- Indoor Track
- Locker rooms
Roadman Park
Cal U's Roadman Park and College Farm is a 98-acre recreational area only minutes from campus. Facilities include tennis courts, baseball, football, soccer, softball, rugby, intramural fields, picnic areas and the football stadium, Adamson Stadium.
Roadman Park and other recreational services were developed by the Student Association Inc., the nonprofit corporation owned and operated by Cal U students.

FITNESS CENTER INFORMATION
Monday-Friday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday: 1-9 p.m.
RECREATIONAL SWIM HOURS
Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday: 3-7 p.m.
