Health and Wellness
California University of Pennsylvania is concerned about the physical and mental health and well-being of its students, faculty and staff. Trained professionals can help meet the needs of the entire University community.
The Student Health Center, part of the Office of Student Affairs, provides high-quality care for our students, faculty and staff at Cal U. The center also promotes the holistic concept of a healthful lifestyle for the University community; addresses the specific health needs of student population segments with special problems; and conceives, develops and implements relevant health education programs for the University community.
The Counseling Center advises students on ways to make the best personal, social, psychological and career choices during a time of transition in their lives. The center can provide students with referrals to a long-term treatment provider and information about other valuable campus resources.
The Health and Wellness Education Center consists of students, graduate assistants, and staff who promote health and wellness opportunities for the campus community to learn about healthy lifestyles through programs, events, and individual consultations. Health and Wellness can provide programs on many different subjects including but not limited to: Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Nutrition, Stress, Body Image, Fitness, Cardiovascular Health, Tobacco and Alcohol Awareness.
The Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Awareness Recovery Center (The PARC) provides support, services and resources for Cal U students in recovery from addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.
