Cal U works with students like you to find appropriate and safe housing off campus. We can also help you understand local regulations and the legal rights of renters and landlords.
So if you’re considering a change in housing, contact Cal U’s Off-Campus Housing Office for information about renting an apartment or house in a local community.
We are here to help you think through the process and find safe, appropriate housing. The office offers you:

Cal U is committed to the safety and welfare of all students residing off campus and to promoting responsible tenant/landlord relations as well as strong community relations. Landlords can offer their listings — but only if they adhere to Cal U’s non-discrimination policy.

Landlords who wish to include properties on the off-campus housing list must indicate their intent to comply with our good faith observation policy and also with federal, state and local laws by checking the proper box upon registration.
Notice of Violation
This posting will be placed on the properties that did not qualify for occupancy permits. If you are renting off-campus housing and your property is posted with notice of violation, you may remain in the residence for the remainder of the Fall 2010 semester. If the landlord complies with the stipulations, the property should be available for Spring 2011. If your building is posted, it is very important that you contact the landlord concerning your housing status.
