    Lt. Col. Ros L. Gammon

    Lt. Col. Ros L. Gammon portrait. Gammon will be the incomming command during a ceremony at Cal U.Lt. Col. Ros L. Gammon IV enlisted into the Army Reserve in January 1985. After completing basic training and advanced individual training, he was assigned to the 1075th Ordnance Company in Morgantown, W.Va., as a RATT RIG operator. In 1987, he transferred to Company B 1-110th Infantry and was assigned as an ROTC cadet. 

    Gammon has served in various positions throughout his career including XO, S1, S2, S4, S3 Air, Company Commander, Rifle Platoon Leader and Mortar Platoon Leader in the 1st Battalion 1-110th Infantry.  

    Within the 2nd Brigade, he had served as the S1 and Signal Officer prior to being assigned as the Brigade S3 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, when he was stationed in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. 

    From 2008-2011 he commanded the 1st Battalion 110th Infantry. He was later assigned as the Chief of Operations, 28th Infantry Division, in Harrisburg, Pa., where he served until October 2012.

    Gammon served as the Executive Officer for the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 28th Infantry Division prior to assuming command of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.

    Gammon’s military education includes successful completion of the Infantry Officers Basic Course, Infantry Officers Advanced Course, Mortar Platoon Leaders Course, Air Ground Operations Course, Combined Arms Senior Service School and Intermediate Level Education.

    Gammon received his commission from West Virginia University ROTC. He completed his bachelor’s degree and his master’s degree in legal studies from California University of Pennsylvania.

    His awards and decorations include the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1st OLC), Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" device, and the Iraqi Campaign Medal.

    Gammon is married to the former Jamie Isler and has a daughter, Reagan. He and his family reside in Hiller, Pennsylvania.
