Proposal Submissions

The deadline for submission is Friday April 1, 2016. All proposals must be submitted by midnight (EST) to be considered.

Your proposal should be understandable to a general (campus-wide) audience and:

  • Have a clear title.
  • State clearly the primary research question being investigated and the purpose of the research/creative activity (why it is of interest). If possible, state what is innovative about your work – does your research create new knowledge or involve a new idea, method, process or product?
  • Summarize the research methodology.
  • Summarize your final (or anticipated) conclusions.
  • Be concise (200 words or less in length) and well organized (introduction, body, conclusion).
  • If possible, avoid trade names, acronyms, abbreviations or symbols. You would need to explain them, and that takes too much room.

Complete the online proposal submission form to submit your abstract.

We recommend composing your proposal in a word processing program (such as Microsoft Word), then pasting your proposal into the text box provided in the online submission form.

The required font is Times New Roman, 12 point.
