Dr. John Sutton
John P. Sutton, a graduate of Centennial High School, Compton, Calif., was the co-captain of the 1956 football team. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Los Angeles and a Master of Arts degree from Atlanta University. John was a Compton police officer for four years and a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration for 25 years. He was promoted through the ranks from a street agent to a senior executive-level position with the DEA.
John is the author of a book, Thin White Lines, published in 2004, which highlights his exploits as an undercover federal narcotic agent. He has traveled to 42 foreign countries and almost all over the United States. Despite his varied experiences, both bad and good, he continues to possess an unconditional love and appreciation for the United States.
