Washington Jazz Society Big Band

Washington Jazz Society performing live. The Washington Jazz Society was founded in 2007 to promote live jazz music by local musicians and provide scholarships and education for musicians of all ages. 

The WJS Big Band is made up of professional and amateur musicians from all walks of life, including music educators, business professionals and law enforcement officials.

The WJS Big Band recently performed at the Perry Como 100th Birthday Celebration in Canonsburg, Pa., and at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s 100th anniversary gala in Washington, Pa.

Tickets will be available at Cal U on the day of the festival; no advance ticket sales are planned. Members of the campus community will be admitted free with a valid CalCard.

Parking is included in the ticket price, and food can be purchased on campus.

Less than an hour’s drive from Pittsburgh, California University is easy to reach via major highways and Toll Route 43.
