Darek W. Eberhart
Darek W. Eberhart, a nine-year veteran of law
enforcement, is a parole agent for the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and
Parole and has been assigned to its field supervision unit since 2007.
Eberhart is certified as a firearms instructor
for the Board of Probation and Parole. As a member of the Staff Safety Unit, he
is certified by Protective Safety Systems as a senior control tactics instructor
for the parole board. In addition, he is certified in the Drug Abuse
Recognition System by Medtox.
Eberhart is trained in tactical building entry/room clearing, investigative
techniques, drug recognition and firearms proficiency.
He has worked with the Fayette County Drug Task
Force and the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Crime Units, and he is
currently assigned to a federal task force.
Eberhart is an annual guest lecturer at Waynesburg University for a course on
probation and parole, and he was an adjunct faculty member in the Political
Science Department at the Community College of Allegheny County.
He is an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the International Tactical Officers Training Association.
Eberhart has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Waynesburg University and a master’s degree in political science from Cal U.
