Faculty Orientation

The Faculty Professional Development Center sponsors a new faculty orientation prior to the beginning of each fall term to introduce new faculty to Cal U. University officials and faculty members provide information about university procedures and programs as well as interactive sessions in which faculty can share experiences and strategies about good teaching.

Other Services for New Faculty

The Faculty Professional Development Committee sponsors workshops specifically for new faculty. Topics have included: how to combine teaching and research; improving and evaluating teaching; testing and grading; and how to develop service and service-learning opportunities.
