Honor Your Student
Honor your student by matching the gift they make……
As graduation day approaches, Cal U seniors asked themselves, how can they make a difference for future generations of Cal U students?
As part of our Cal U for Life initiative, the Class Gift Drive is an opportunity for graduating seniors to leave behind their legacy at Cal U. Students understand that the University’s greatest need is the creation of scholarships for future Cal U students.
Did you know the average Cal U student graduates with a debt of more than $23,000? Together parents and students can help do something about that.
Each member of the Senior Class is encouraged to support the Class Gift by making a gift in honor of their graduation year. Parents are asked to consider acknowledging your student by making gift in his or her honor. Parents have supported their student as they began their Cal U education, and are encouraged to support them again as they leave their mark here. All gifts made in support of the Class Gift Drive will be added to the specific Class Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Every gift, no matter what amount, makes a difference… and so will yours! To make your gift, or for more information, please contact Randi Minerva, Coordinator of Parent and Alumni Relations, at 724-938-4248 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here.
Each tax-deductible gift will be credited toward the specific Class Endowed Scholarship Fund and acknowledged by the Foundation for California University of Pennsylvania.
Why I gave…….
“As a parent of newest graduating class (2011) at Cal U, I found it important to give back to the university that gave so much to my son over the last four years. Joe not only gained the knowledge in the classroom that has prepared him for a career, he was surrounded by a staff and faculty that nurtured his ability to grow as a person. As a parent that means a lot- so much so, Joe’s sister has chosen Cal U as her college choice and she will be an incoming freshman in the fall of 2012, and I could not be more excited. “

“My husband and I decided to support the 2011 Senior Gift Drive in honor of our daughter, Danielle, Class of 2011. Additionally, California University of PA impressed us from our first walk on campus, when Danielle was an incoming freshman, to today. Danielle was a four year member of the Vulcan Marching band. We had the pleasure of attending the football games to not only hear and watch our daughter perform with the outstanding band, but to become Vulcan football fans and to also witness first hand the pride and bond between sports and the arts. It was gratifying to see President Armenti at each of the games...a dedication and faithfulness that was not missed by us or our daughter. The growth, commitment to students, educational integrity, and vision for the future truly makes Cal U. an investment that is worthwhile to support. Congratulations on your successful drive and best wishes in realizing endowment by the end of the calendar year.”
