Valuable Messages
Parents underscore the
importance of messages that students
hear in their classrooms and residence halls. The start of a semester brings new opportunities to remind your
student about campus safety, academic resources, reconnecting with a peer
mentor or requesting a new one, and ways to get involved on campus.

The Counseling Center
The college years are exciting ones, marked by rapid growth and development. Students may need some extra emotional and mental support in the process. Does your student experience conflicts that don’t go away, academic worries, depression, relationship issues, or other concerns? The Cal U Counseling Center professionals are skilled in addressing the unique needs of college students.
How Smart is a Smart Classroom?
The days of chalkboard, pen, and pencil classrooms are passé. Today Cal U students and faculty enjoy cutting-edge smart classroom computer technology to enhance teaching and learning. From video conferencing with other college students around the globe to classroom engagement via computerized student touch panels, interactive learning reaches a whole new level.
Fraternities and Sororities
Has
your student mentioned joining a fraternity or sorority? The “Animal House” perception need not apply when it comes to Greek Life
at Cal U. Positive benefits may include a supportive social network, leadership and
volunteer opportunities, and a close-knit community of peers.
