Recipient of the Foundation for California University of Pennsylvania Endowed Scholarship

“There are no words that can accurately express my gratitude for the generous scholarship that I have received. It has enabled me to focus on what is truly important and to pursue my multiple passions through numerous opportunities, which I’m sure would have been limited if I had attended another university.

“I currently work as a peer mentoring coordinator for Campus- Wide Mentoring, serve as president of the Bachelors of Social Work Association, and will have the opportunity to use my leadership skills when I serve as a peer educator for Cal’s new drug and alcohol awareness program called Options @ Cal U.

“Although I struggle with various personal and financial challenges, this generous scholarship has touched my life and taught me the importance of giving. I hope someday to become a donor myself and give the gift of scholarship. I will give in honor of my grandfather, who was an educator for 30 years. He never let me forget the importance of family and especially the importance of earning a college degree.

“I sincerely thank all of our scholarship donors for believing in me and students like me. Your support is helping to make our dreams of earning a college degree possible here at Cal U.”
