Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization based on the principles that every single man, woman, and child should have some form of decent, safe, affordable housing available to them. Habitat does not build "free houses," but rather provides affordable housing and financing to low-income families all over the world.
The Habitat for Humanity Club at Cal U strives to help Habitat for Humanity fulfill it's mission statement by working through a local affiliates by participating in local building projects, at the restore, fundraising and bringing awareness to homelessness. No experience is required to volunteer or be a member of the club.
