Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Each year the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness sponsor Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. The Center for Volunteer Programs and the Cal U Cupboard have planned events all week long to help raise awareness throughout our campus community. If you wish to participate in any of the following events, we ask that you please sign up on OrgSync ahead of time by following the links below. Also, check out our latest blog post for more detailed descriptions of each volunteer opportunity.

 

Monday, November 13th

Cal U Cupboard Info Table in Natali Student Center 11am – 1pm

 Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event in Natali Performance Center 6pm - 9pm

 

Tuesday, November 14th

Liberty Tower Food Pantry 9am - 11am

Hand Turkeys for Good Eats in the Energy Zone 11am – 1pm

 

Wednesday, November 15th

California Food Pantry 9:45am – 11am and 4pm – 6pm 

Cal U Cupboard Info Table in Natali Student Center 11am – 1pm

STAND Winter Clothing Drive in Morgan Auditorium 9pm

 

Thursday, November 16th

Hand Turkeys for Good Eats in the Energy Zone 11am – 1pm

Greater Washington County Thrift Store 12pm – 8pm

Good Eats Packing at California United Methodist Church 3:30pm

Underground Café donate to enter a gift card raffle at Vulcan Village 9pm – 12am

 

Friday, November 17th

Cal U Cupboard Info Table in Natali Student Center 11am – 1pm
