1st Annual Cardboard City

Hosted by the Habitat for Humanity Club

April 8th, 2016

9am-9pm on the Turf

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that empowers people to find strength, stability and independence through safe, decent and affordable housing. Whether it is through volunteers or donations of money and materials, each home is built through the generosity of others. To aid in this effort, the Habitat for Humanity club is happy to announce that they will be hosting the 1st annual Cardboard City event to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington, Pennsylvania.

Cardboard City is a campus-wide, fundraising event in which groups, clubs, and organizations will simulate homelessness by constructing and “living” in cardboard houses from 9am-9pm on April 8th, 2016. There will be food, music, a 50/50 raffle and more!

The cost of participation is $30 for teams of 5-8 people and $50 for teams of 9-15 people. The entry fee can be paid by cash, check or through an SAI account transfer. Payments by cash or check will be accepted the day of the event. Account transfers must be done by Monday, April 4th. All checks can be made out to the Student Association, Inc. We will also be collecting non-perishable food for the Calu Cupboard—Calu’s own food pantry!

Please RSVP on Orgsync by Sunday, April 3rd.
