Work Study Positions Available:

 

The Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning (VPSL) is looking for a work study student to serve as a Volunteer Coordinator.  Volunteer Coordinators are responsible for assisting with all volunteer opportunities held on campus such blood drives, Days of Service, Big Event and monthly service opportunities. Students also communicate and assist non-profits in the community with advertising for various service opportunities though OrgSync. Nonprofits include, Center in the Woods, Methodist Church and the Greater Washington County Food Bank to name a few.

 

In addition, VPSL is looking for a work-study student who will be a liaison for the Washington Family Center Afterschool Program and the Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning at CalU.  Work study students will be working closely with the LEARN afterschool program and participate in the after school program mentoring 6-8 grade students at the Charleroi and/or Bentworth School Districts a minimum of one day a week. Work-studies also have the opportunity to assist with field trips and special events with the students.

 

Qualifications:

·        Outgoing/Engaging/Friendly

·        Strong written/verbal communication skills

·      Dedicated/Responsible/Punctual

·        Valid Driver’s License (Afterschool Program Applicants Only)

 ·         Any major can apply!

 

Internships are also available for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning & CalU Cupboard, Student Food Pantry.
